Mission Helper Development

A site created in the Spring of 2021 for Neighbors concerned about
development of the Mission Helper site.

The owners of Blakehurst are proposing to develop the Mission Helper parcel (just over 4 acres) into a 40 unit, six-building residential village, consisting of five, multi-story buildings with eight condominiums each; one clubhouse; three new roads; sidewalks to link all the buildings; lighting; and underground and on-street parking. The project would be a substantial expansion of the existing Mission Helper footprint and result in significant additional traffic on already busy streets.

This site is intended to share information and keep neighbors informed of developments. Suggestions and ideas are welcome. Copies of all correspondence with the developer, project drawings, zoning maps, and other critical document are available below.

CURRENT STATUS

AUGUST 2023: The 2019 agreement for Blakehurst to purchase the land from Mission Helpers expired at the end of 2022 without going to closing. Negotiations appear to be at a standstill. Click here for update.

JULY 2022: A Second Restrictive Covenant Agreement, agreed to by the Neighbors, has been fully signed and executed. A copy is available by clicking here.

1. The Restrictive Covenant and Addenda

These are the agreements that “run with the land” and govern how the Blakehurst and Mission Helper parcels can be used.

2. Drawings and Blakehurst Plat

The project drawings are from the two Zoom meetings held so far. The Blakehurst Plat is from Baltimore County land records. The RRLRAIA Boundary map is from the Association.

3. Correspondence

This is where I will post letters and emails with the developer and others about this project.
